Twin Bonanza Fuel Estimator
BE A SAFER PILOT - Estimating the amount of fuel on board your Twin Bonanza using the dipstick method has previously been impossible, due to the slope of the fuel cells. Using Fuel Gauges as a sole means of judging remaining fuel is also risky. Previously, the only positive way to really know how much fuel you have on board at the start of a trip has been to completely fill your tanks before taking-off.
The newly designed Twin Bonanza Fuel Estimator is calibrated to measure the 44 Gal. Main (inboard) tanks on one side of the gauge and utilizes 46 Gal. Auxiliary (outboard) tank markings on the other side. Markings are established at 5 Gal. intervals. Constructed of tempered aluminum, they are powder-coated dull black with easy to read markings. The designed angle of the Estimator positions it properly on the fuel tank openings, when being used.
Designed for use on 180 Gallon capacity Twin Bonanza models only.
CAUTION! While the Fuel Estimator's 44 Gal. Main (inboard) tank markings can certainly be used for gauging the Main tanks on any model Twin Bonanza, the Fuel Estimator cannot be used to measure the Aux. (outboard) tanks on any Twin Bonanza models that have a total fuel capacity of anything other than 180 Gallons.
Note: Please specify, when ordering, if your aircraft utilizes Jet Fuel Restrictors at the fillers. If so, we will modify your unit to facilitate that configuration.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! THE FUEL ESTIMATOR SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A SOLE MEANS OF MEASURING FUEL ON BOARD. THE PILOT IN COMMAND IS COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING A SAFE FUEL QUANTITY APPLICABLE TO EACH FLIGHT, ACCORDING TO CURRENT FAR'S AND THE POH OF THE AIRCRAFT BEING FLOWN.
